Scenarios for 2030
The Town Team meeting on Tuesday 17th June discussed various scenarios, compiled by Yorkshire Futures, on just what we expect life to be like in 2030.
Yorkshire Futures suggested 4 possible scenarios :-
1. The ‘Most Plausible’ Scenario - "What if...the trends evident now continue without large disruptions?"
2. The 'Northern Lights' Scenario - "What if... London has reached the limits of its potential for expansion?"
3. The 'Low Carbon Locale' Scenario - "What if... resource costs soar and carbon emissions are aggressively reduced?"
4. The 'Fragile Seams' Scenario - "What if... inequality within the region becomes so acute that it dominates social and economic policy?"
