Urban Space Group: Agenda - Royal Hotel - 19h15 Thursday 12 November 2009 Wednesday, 11 November, 2009 21:56 To all, Just a short reminder that the Urban Space Group will be meeting in the Cavalier Suite of the Royal Hotel Thursday 12 November 2009 starting at 19h15. Agenda 1. Station Square Proposals Following the initial consultation exercise undertaken earlier in the year, possible options for the future of the site are now available for public comment. Doug Kendall, a senior project manager for Scarborough Borough Council, will be officially presenting the proposals in conjunction with the Hull-based Architectural firm appointed to the lead the consultation exercise, SNAP Architects, and the transport consultants, Local Transport Projects. The presentations will detail three clear design options, exploring the key themes of Sustainability, Community & Green; Arts, Culture & Leisure; and Business & Retail respectively, in order to facilitate ‘compare and contrast’ discussions. In addition to the chance to discuss the various options following the presentations, forms will be made available at the end of the meeting for members of the public wishing to formally comment on the proposals. This is everyone’s chance to have a stake in the exciting future of what already possesses the key elements to become Scarborough’s most impressive and dramatic civic space! 2.
